Northern lights safari with snowshoes

In this safari we go out to the wilderness by snowshoes to admire the Northern Lights. During the trip we will have a break for a hot drink beside a campfire. In that case we don’t see any Northern Lights, we can just enjoy the silence of nature and the beautiful scenery surrounding us. Our guide will also tell us interesting stories about the Northern Lights and beliefs that people had in the olden days about these magical light phenomena.

Snowshoe trip to the top of Kellostapuli

Enjoy the wild, untouched nature and beautiful scenery of the Ylläs fells! The hike will take us through a small Canyon, forests and all the way up to the alpine top of Kellostapuli. Our guide takes us up to the Kuerfell where we can enjoy the magnificent view over the other fells of Äkäslompolo. But also the open plains of the arctic taiga can be seen perfectly! For the cross-country ski enthusiast eager for a new, inspiring adventure, our full day tour with forest skis provides the perfect opportunity. Forest skis are wider and longer than the ordinary cross country ski and they enable the skier to ski into new territory making their own tracks as they go. Our Forest Ski Tour heads off the beaten track taking us further into the old, pristine Lappish forests across deep, untracked snow for a refreshingly different day of skiing. |

Accompany us on this marvellous trip through the peaceful and tranquil Lappish forest as we glide on cross country skis through the night illuminated only by our headlamps and the moonlight. The excursion will take you to Lake Kesänki where we will stop for a break and have coffee and biscuits around the open fire. Previous cross country skiing experience is appreciated.
