Nature trail to the magic thief valley

Varkaankuru, a gully formed by an earthquake a long time ago, has been protected years ago from the human hands and chainsaws because of the very special nature. A well sheltered little brook in a grove maintains a special fauna. We’ll get up to Ylläs fell by a car to explore a nature exhibition at the nature center of Kellokas. Afterwards we will start a 8 km’s hiking trip through Varkaankuru gorge and around the Kesänki lake. Back to the hotel we go by a car and also we get to enjoy a meal on our way back. |

Midnight hiking

Experience the midnight sun and the white nights in Lapland by hiking. The midnight sun nature path to Kellostapulinkuru (Bells Tower’s Gorge) and on to the top of Kellostapuli is approximately 5,5 kilometers long and a log path makes it easy to walk. During the walk we’ll see a wide overview of the characteristic nature of Western Lapland in the light of midnight sun. |

Wilderness experience

On this tour we will discover ways how the natives of Lapland survived in the early days. We and our guide will be dropped off on the side of the road, equipped only with a map and a compass.
While we try to find our way back home, our guide is going to teach us how to find food and water to survive. Later on during the day our guide will show us how to make fire in the wilderness. On our hike over the Aakenus Fell we will also pass an old crash site of one of the famous Junker planes from World War II! |

Hiking with Huskies

Have you ever dreamt of having your own Husky? Today we will have the chance to go hiking with some of these amazing sled dogs. First we will go to the Husky farm, where our guide is going to welcome us and show us the Farm. Then we will start our hike with the dogs through the nearby surroundings. On the way we will have a break where we will grill some sausages and enjoy the company of the dogs. |
