About Sweden

Adventures in Swedish Lapland

The Swedish border area along the Torne and Muonio River offers its own specialities. It is here, where the three cultures, Swedish, Finnish, and Sami, came together to form their own way of life and a dialect typical only for this area. Not only the culture, but also the beautiful landscape with its many wide and powerful rivers, thick forests and picturesque villages charms its visitors every time, during winter and summer.

Husky tour
During winter, the north of Sweden may be best explored by snowmobiling or with Huskies. Let us take you on a day tour to Kangos to experience a Husky adventure, to travel through snowy forests and over frozen lakes in silence with only dogs barking. Or maybe you would like to go on a little longer round trip, snowmobiling to Kangos and Tärendö, spending a few nights in cosy Inns and enjoying hot saunas and delicious local meals on the way.

On a tour through Swedish Lapland you will travel from the Finnish/Swedish borderland with its fells to the high mountain area west of Kiruna, where the highest peak of Sweden, Kebnekaise (2111 m) is situated. On the way, there is not only the landscape changing constantly, you will also stay in an old cosy Inn in Kangos, a small village by the Torne River. The famous ICEHOTEL in Jukkasjärvi is also one of the stops on the way to the Spa Hotel in Riksgränsen.

Over the summer, the free flowing waters in Swedish Lapland offers unlimited possibilities for fishermen and those who would like to try fishing. The perfect location for this is by the Torne River at the rapids of Kengis. Try your luck catching salmon, trout or grayling.
